The technological manufacturer Samsung has launched Samsung Gear Sport in Spain, a sports ‘smartwatch’ that offers a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen and features such as notifications and speaker for calls, as well as control of physical exercise, as explained by the company South Korean through a statement.
The Samsung Gear Sport has a circular bezel design, as well as a 1.2-inch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass. Samsung has incorporated a new user interface that allows you to view the information at all times and receive control alerts nutritional and activity recommendations even when the user is not connected to the Internet.
The new ‘wearable’ is already available in Spain with a recommended price of 353 euros, in two different colors: blue and black. Its appearance can be customized using 20-mm straps in different interchangeable colors, and also offers functions such as using it as a remote control to make presentations with PowerPoint or to use the Samsung Gear VR glasses.
As for the rest of its technical features, the Samsung device offers internal storage of 4 gigabytes and 768 megabyte RAM, and has a 300 mAh battery that allows wireless charging. In addition, it is compatible with devices with Android 4.4 and iOS 9.0 operating systems, and their higher versions. Likewise, it is resistant to water up to a pressure of 5 atmospheres and is submersible up to 50 meters deep.
Samsung Gear Sport offers daily use features such as a speaker to talk on the phone, the display of notifications on the screen and its customizable dial. As for its sporting and health use, this ‘smartwatch’ allows to monitor the sleep or to make a detailed follow-up of the feeding and the consumption of calories. In addition, it keeps a record of the achievements and objectives reached to motivate the user to maintain an active life.
Samsung’s wearable is compatible with the Spotify application, and allows its premium users to listen to their favorite music online during training. It also offers access to platforms such as Speedo On, aimed at practicing water sports, as well as other sports ‘apps’ such as Under Armor Record, MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun and Endomondo, for sports activities, nutrition information and sleep monitoring.
